Two rare Teldec Publicity shots depict presentations to Klaus of some of his Gold Awards. An undated publicity photo stamped with a TELDEC logo on the reverse, indicates in handwriting ‘Klaus Wunderlich with his gold discs’. The occasion could well have been a family gathering, but standing next to Klaus is Teldec General Manager Kurt Richter who, some years later also made a presentation of three more Gold discs and the rare Gold cassette.
In 2013 Edeltraud Wunderlich generously gifted 2 of the 13 Gold Discs awarded to her late husband, to myself and Werner Kohlhammer in recognition of our work associated with the release of the Bell Musik series of compilations. I would like to place on record my appreciation of this lovely gift and to also personally thank Werner Kohlhammer for his assistance in photographing many of the wonderful sleeves that are on these pages: some of the rarest releases having come from the personal collection of Klaus Wunderlich. The entire collection of tapes, LPs and CDs has now been gifted to a temperature controlled location where their safety is assured, and from where music students in the future can access them for research and historical purposes.
